Giuseppe Bottero

Giuseppe Bottero (1846 – after 1927) was an Italian painter, active mainly in Turin.
An art critic of his day described him as having ''the artistic temperament and courage of a painter of the Cinquecento''.〔'' temperamento artistico e la gagliardia di un cinquecentista'' , De Gubernatis.〕
At the National Exhibition of Turin, he displayed ''Il Coltello'' and ''Sul Golgota'' (On Golgoltha). In the Exhibition of 1886 in Milan, he displayed: ''Compagni di sventura''. In the 1887 exhibition of Venice, he displayed ''Hypochondria'' and ''La Posa''.〔( ''Dizionario degli Artisti Italiani Viventi: pittori, scultori, e Architetti.'' ), by Angelo de Gubernatis. Tipe dei Successori Le Monnier, 1889, page 69-70.〕
